Regional Tightness in Lead Ingot Supply, Primary Lead Smelter Inventory Returns to Pre-Holiday Levels [SMM Primary Lead Inventory Weekly Review]

iconOct 17, 2025 16:30

It is understood that as of October 16, the in-factory inventory of primary lead delivery brands was 3,000 mt, a decrease of 7,700 mt WoW.

Recently, primary lead smelters in north China have experienced unstable production, with some enterprises still resuming production after maintenance and others undergoing maintenance, leading to regional undersupply of lead ingots. Meanwhile, downstream enterprises have gradually resumed normal procurement after the holiday, coupled with slower-than-expected production resumptions at secondary lead enterprises. Consequently, downstream demand has tightened further in the primary lead sector, and smelter inventories have returned to pre-National Day levels.
